Datalogic D130 Handheld Barcode Reader
The Datalogic Heron is a light weight and ergonomic POS scanner with reliable and affordable price point. This is a CCD scanner with linear and RSS barcode decoding. Hands-free stand with metal base is included. D130 is suitable for data capture at point of sale and office environments, or wherever instinctive reading distance is preferred.
The device includes the “green spot” feature, a Datalogic patent application, that provides “good reading” feedback directly on the code, where the user usually tends to be looking.
The hands-free stand included in the package allows the reader to be used in a hands-free mode. When placed correctly in the stand, the reader beeps and automatically switches to hands-free mode. In this mode, the green spot remains on to show the operator where to position the code under the unit, for quicker and intuitive reading.
This feature makes Heron as effective as a hand-held reader and presentation scanner. The scanner has three models available, with different interface types. The standard D130 is multi-interfaced, with RS232, USB, WEDGE and WAND connections. The D110 provides complete connectivity to main IBM cash registers and POS terminals. The D140 performs undecoded reader applications.
Heron reads Reduced Space Symbologies (RSS), a symbology that can be printed on a smaller label, which meets emerging market needs for a greater amount of data on a symbol guaranteeing investment protection.
