Magellan 1400i Omni-Directional Barcode Scanner
Semicron.com provides the Magellan 1400i presentation omni-directional barcode scanner with excellent barcode reading performance, and is an ideal POS Systems on-counter scanner. The Magellan 1400i scanner is similar to Magellan 1100i except that the Magellan 1400i features a different imaging technology that uses digital scan patterns for omnidirectional reading, thereby offering high reliability and performance, with excellence in reading hard-to-read bar codes. The 1400i scanner decoded PDF417 and Data Matrix barcodes, and supports image capture. This is made possible by its longer depth of field and larger scan volume. Magellan 1400i scanner is excellent for users who require the highest reliability and performance, with affordable price point.
The scanner can be used as a handheld or hands-free scanner. Its over molded rubber grips enhances user comfort when used as a handheld scanner. The 1400i also has a targeting mode feature for use when reading bar codes in close proximity, such as barcodes found on PLU lists.
Magellan 1400i presentation scanner supports variety of host interfaces, allowing the scanner to be easily integrated or migrated if there is a change in host software or hardware. In addition, the scanner model with Checkpoint Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) option allows scanning and deactivation in just one motion. The Magellan 1400i scanner is compact, with small footprint that makes it easy to be installed in a space constrained environments. Its stand can be tilted to allow scan volume to be optimized, and has screw holes for optional fixed mounting of the scanner. The 1400i barcode scanner has IP52 Water and Particulate Sealing Rating.
