The Avery Weigh-Tronix 6700 Series Cash Register and Point of Sale Scale has been replaced with the new and enhanced 6700U Series. The 6700U family includes the 6702U, 6710U, and 6720U. This scale connects to your POS System and captures the weight of a product placed on it. Then, based on the price per weight of the product you have set up in your POS System inventory, your POS Software reads the weight from the scale and automatically calculates the price of the product. The 6702U connects to all major electronic cash registers, POS computer terminals and point of sale systems. It is ideal for retail applications such as convenience store, grocery, cafeterias, candy store, hardware stores, pet stores as well as healthcare service such as hospitals and pharmacies. The old 6702 scale was not capable of connecting to USB port, but the new 6702U is capable of connecting to USB port using the optional USB cable part number AWT05-507974.

The scale comes with external magnetic mounted display. If you want to want to mount the display on a 12-inch high tower that mounts in the back of the scale, you will need the optional display post, part number 816965005918. Avery Weigh-Tronix 6702U also reads kg, lb, oz, g, and comes with one year manufacturer warranty.
