This MagTek mini magnetic card swipe reader requires no external power supply to function. However, the TTL model does require external power supply. The magstripe reader can read ISO and AAMVA card formats. It can also read any data encoded on the magnetic stripe of a card, whether the data is encoded in track 1, 2, or 3, or all the three tracks. The reader is available in USB, Serial, Keyboard Wedge, and TTL interfaces. The Mini swipe reader has a small foot-print, and can easily be installed by the user using either the included mounting adhesive strips or by using the embedded threaded mounting hardware.
