The MS146 is a flexible, rugged and cost effective barcode slot reader capable of reading any bar coded identification card or badge. Typically, barcode slot readers are used for security access control, time and attendance, and many other applications where restricted access and individual identification is required. It is designed to read barcodes printed on id cards or badges.
You can install the MS146 slot barcode reader on the wall or door frame at the main entrance of your facility. You can also use it as a desk-top application. The device can interface with most popular hosts, such as computers or laptops. To use the device, simply swipe the card through the slot on the reader, with a smooth stroke. On completion of the swipe, the you should see the LED on the device turn green as well as hear the sound of a built-in buzzer, indicating that the card was read successfully. If the card was not successfully read, you will not hear any buzzer, and the LED will turn red.
Unitech MS146 barcode slot reader is available with infra-red or visible light models. Infra-red ensures accurate reading of either visible and laminated cards or badges. The MS146 slot reader features a wide barcode slot with flexible reading angle, and with a resolution of 6 mils, it can perfectly read high density labels. Its water resistant base, rugged housing, sealed optical system, and IP54 rated sealing makes the MS146 suitable for use in harsh industrial environments. The device is user configurable via computer programming, and is compatible with all popular computers and computer devices. It comes in TTL, Keyboard wedge, RS232 and USB interfaces.
