Rugged, Omni-Directional Cordless Scanner

The Motorola DS3578 rugged, 2D cordless scanner and imager is capable of capturing bar codes, images and direct part marks. The DS3578 is available in three models. DS3578-SR is the Standard Range model that reads 1D and 2D bar codes. DS3578-HD is the High Density model that also reads 1D and 2D bar codes, but is also optimized to capture very small, high density 2D bar codes. DS3578-DP is the Direct Part Marks (DPM) model that also reads 1D and 2D bar codes, and supports Item Unique Identification (IUID).

The DS3578-SR is flexible, and meets the requirements of various applications and environments by offering 1D and 2D bar code scanning. It also streamlines inventory management in scan-intensive and fast-paced environments, even both in a largest warehouse or retail store. The DS3578-HD provides the same functions as the DS3578-SR, but in addition, it offers optimization for very tiny and dense 1D and 2D bar codes normally found in manufacturing, warehousing, transportation and logistics environments. In manufacturing, it allows scanning of bar codes on the smallest parts to verify the use of right part at the right time. The DS3578-DP is a powerful scanner that combines the advanced Motorola EZ-DPM software with the functionalities of the DS3578-SR and the focusing capability of the DS3578-HD, coupled with the integrated IUID parsing capability. This allows Government agencies and manufacturing industries, such as automotive, aerospace and medical, to capture all 1D and 2D bar codes as well as every type of Direct Part Mark (DPM).
