- SPT1550 (8MB)/SPT1700(8MB) is the Palm Pilot unit itself. It has a built-in Laser Barcode Scanner.
- Docking Station is the hardware (cables, adapters, etc) that allows you to hook-up the Palm Pilot to your computer an download the collected inventory items into your computer for reporting and other management tasks.
- Desktop Software is the Operating System Software for the Palm Pilot, just like Windows is the operating system for your PC.
- Pocket Register is the software that allows you to use the Palm Pilot as a checkout register.
- Pocket Inventory is the software that allows you to collect the inventory items. When you scan-in an item, the Pocket Inventory is the one that captures and holds/stores the item until you download it into your computer.
- Inventory Tracking Express is the software that synchronizes your Inventory Data in the Palm Pilot with your main Inventory Database in your computer. It automatically sends the collected data to Cash Register Express (CRE) or Restaurant Pro Express (RPE) and updates your main inventory data base, all at the touch of a button. It compares your physical inventory with your CRE inventory to see where you have discrepancies. Inventory control has never been easier!
- Cash Register Express (CRE) is the main POS software - your Main Inventory Database. This software features all the inventory control functions - from inventory tracking to inventory reporting.
