What kind of cards can be printed on dye-sublimation digital card printer?
Blank or pre-printed PVC or PVC composite plastic cards are compatible with all Zebra (formerly Eltron)-brand dye-sublimation digital card printers. All Zebra (formerly Eltron) models also feature magnetic stripe encoding options. Smart cards can be printed and encoded on Zebra (formerly Eltron) P310i, P420i and P520i.
All Zebra (formerly Eltron) card printers support standard ISO CR80 size cards. Models P100i and P110i print on cards with thickness from 10mil to 30mil. Zebra (formerly Eltron) P310iand P420i models print on cards from 10 to 60mil thick. The P520i laminating printer can print on various thickness cards, but 30 mil cards are recommended for laminating applications.

Do you want to print Color or Monochrome cards?
All Zebra color card printers, models P100, P110, P120, P330, P420 and P520, can be used for both color and monochrome printing. P110m and P330m single-sided monochrome card printers are optimized for fast, easy, economical monochrome card printing.

 The P100i is optimized for economical monochrome black printing to text, graphics, and bar codes on blank or pre-printed cards. Cards load and exit from the front, making it ideal for countertop and POS checkout environments.

Do you need to print on both sides of the card?
Zebra P420i and P520i all come with integrated card flip over features that support dual sided card printing.

How many cards will you need to print per year?
For print volumes up to 30,000 cards per year, the P330i, P420i and P520i are ideal. For print volumes over 30,000 cards per year, networking multiple printers into a "print farm" is recommended. The P100 Series is best suited for applications under 12,000 cards per year.

For low volume on demand printing of full color cards with photo images, the P110 is compact, economical and easy to use. Recommended for applications printing less than 12,000 cards per year.
