A Place to Hang Out
JT Cigarro Tobacconist & Tavern is a busy bar in the heart of Fargo, North Dakota. However, instead of serving only drink and food, they also offer a wide range of cigars and the atmosphere to enjoy them. JT's offers the locals a cool drink in the summer and a warm, friendly hangout in the winter.

Hybrid Business
JT Cigarro's had three distinct goals when they decided to computerize. The first was to track their retail inventory, which includes an impressive array of cigars and the accessories that accompany them. Secondly, JT's wanted to provide quick, accurate order filling for their customer's food and drink orders. The third goal was to generate detailed reports on each aspect of the business, as well as combined.
According to CEO Joshua L. Gilleland, “As you know with our hybrid business it was very difficult to find a software package that could accomplish what we needed done. Most companies tried selling us a suite of software that had to be used separately. The problem with that is that those programs don’t talk to each other and there ends up being a lot more work involved and often times you end up duplicating data
entries.” Using the hybrid software, Cash Register Express/Restaurant Pro Express, Josh successfully computerized his hybrid business.

Service Plus Support Equals Satisfaction
JT's had questions and suggestions along the way. “Customer service and tech support is so crucial in business today, ” Josh pointed out. “If a business owner is looking at upgrading to a computerized point of sale system they need to understand how important it is to have that support there and ready. Not only with direct problem solving, but listening to customers needs and developing new, innovative features. We have rarely seen a company that comes out with as many updates in one year as you have. I can truly see the hard work you put into your software both in development as well as support.”
