M6210 CORDLESS SCANNER SYSTEM PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The M6210 Cordless Scanning Systems consists of three (3) components:

• The M6200 Host Base Station
• The M6000 Cordless Portable Decoder
• A low-cost, undecoded scanner

The M6210 cordless bar code scanning system brings the freedom to roam-and-scan, without the high cost of integrated RF scanners. The Model 6210 consists of a Model 6200 base station (Cordless Bar Code Host) and a Model 6000 portable decoder (Cordless Bar Code Decoder). An undecoded laser, wand or CCD is connected to the M6000, allowing the user to scan bar codes and roam up to 150 feet away from the M6200 Host.

The M6000 transmits the scanned bar code data to the M6200 using a radio frequency (RF) data link, where it is converted into PC keyboard data. The Model 6210 system allows many users to retain and use their existing undecoded, corded scanners. It offers an economical solution to users wishing to eliminate the cost and safety risks associated with extension cables.

The M6000 is small, lightweight and easily clips to a pocket opening, belt, or our optional holster. It saves battery life by automatically turning power off after an extended period of no use. An audible beep lets the user know a successful scan has taken place.

The M6210 cordless scanning kit is also available with a variety of scanners including Symbol, PSC, and Metrologic. The Model 6210 Cordless Bar Code System is ideal for inventory control, asset tracking, shipping and receiving or any bar code data application that requires mobility.

M6210 CORDLESS SCANNER SYSTEM APPLICATIONS

The M6210 Cordless Scanning System is ideal for ANY application where bar code scanning activities require a little extra "reach" or even the ability to walk a considerable distance from the host PC.

Point of Sale
M6210 It's ideal in "bulk sale" environments when items are too large to pass across a flat-bed scanner, or to present to a fixed-mount scanner. Cashiers may need to walk around the counter to scan bar codes, but conventional corded scanners won't reach and extension cables are costly, are a common point-of-failure, and can even present a safety hazard. With the M6210 Cordless Scanning System, the checker is free to roam without the hindrance and inconvenience of being "tethered" to the POS system.

Receiving Dock
Use the M6210 Cordless Scanning System to scan bar coded product immediately upon receipt. Information is transmitted to the host application instantaneously. With a range of up to 150' (unobstructed), users can roam throughout most warehouses.

Fixed Assets
Easily move about most office buildings and scan bar coded asset tags located on PC's, printers, copiers, etc. The data is transmitted back to the host PC and placed into an ASCII text file or inserted into a live application via the keyboard wedge interface. Any scanning operation that can be performed easier by removing the "hard wired" connection from the host PC, or that is currently requiring the use of extension cables, is a perfect target opportunity for the M6210 Cordless Scanning System.
